Here are two clips from Sci Fi Channel's new show, Mind Control with Derren Brown. Derren Brown is a psychological illusionist that with perceptual manipulation and persuasive technique he performs some amazing entertainment. The first clip is of him totally jacking up Simon Pegg, star of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. Second, clip is of a stunt he did about manipulating dreams. Pretty cool stuff.

This video has gone completely viral in the past 24 hours, I even saw it on CNN. If you haven't seen it yet for the 100th time, here it is. It is painful to watch and there's been alot of bashing going on to this unfortunate girl. I am here to defend, Miss South Carolina. Hey, everyone gets flustered. It was a huge and tremendous moment for her. She's been prepping for this her entire life. She just got flustered. You know damn well, that the other contestant's questions were much easier and their answers were typical rehersed cookie cutter blah blah blah.... Got to give her, she even keeps talking after the bell rings because she wanted to finish her point. Whatever her point being but at least she looked perfect and if she plays her cards right by spinning this properly in the media, she'll be an instant celebrity. Don't you just love America!

Ok, Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg have thrown down the gauntlet again!! Look out Adam Sandler, Rob Schneider, and Vince Vaughn. There are some new kids on the block and they are damn funny. I bet writers/producters are reworking scripts this morning because as the #1 movie this weekend, grossing over $30 million, the public has spoken. Superbad is the most hilarious high school situation based comedy ever. Better than all the American Pie series put together. They are doing what the Farrelly brothers did with Something About Mary, breakthrough and outragous situations but with a GOOD story and GOOD characters. If you have yet to watch, Knocked Up, it's the same, perfect mix of story, development of characters, and vulgarity. The use of the four deadly words: (fuck, shit, cunt, and cock) is used but not in an overboard fashion. Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg have a really good feel about how kids talk and act these days and show this in Superbad. Perfect performances by Jonah Hill, Michael Cera, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse. I'm not going to ruin it for anyone but, all I have to say is that millions of people this morning are shopping on eBay for a Ghostbusters Lunchbox. I'm be watching it a second time to see all the things I missed because I was making way too much noise laughing.

The movie attached is the R Rated Trailer for Superbad. Check it out.

We checked out the Matisyahu and 311 concert here at Coors Amphitheater in San Diego/Chula Vista this past weekend. It was an all ages show so we got to play games with all the kiddies down in the pit. Matisyahu was at his finest again opening for 311. He opened his act by performing a Jewish ritual with candle lighting and reading of the Torah. He also performed a new rendition of King Without A Crown. 311 kicked our ass all night long. They performed about 12 songs if I can remember straight. I have to apologize to the big girl that dropped on her back while surfing. It's not my fault that the majority of your weight is around your core. I'm at a concert not at the gym, that's why I'm holding my $12 beer! Anyways, Matisyahu even came out and did "Love Song" with 311. I don't have my own video, as I knew I was going to be in the pit but I attached a video someone else took of the same concert in Des Moines. 311 rocks the fuck out in large venues such as Street Scene and stadiums like this. I think Matisyahu was excellent but is even better in smaller indoor venues. Like the second video I attached of him at the Stubbs in Austin.

Here is a list of their upcoming shows:

8/21 Phoenix, AZ; 8/22 Santa Barbara, CA; 8/23 Las Vegas; 8/25 Santa Cruz, CA; 8/26 San Francisco; 8/28 Troutdale, OR; 8/29 Redmond, OR; 8/30 Bend, OR; 9/1 Ketchum, ID; 9/2 Teton Village, WY; 9/3 Missoula, MT; 9/6 Vail, CO; 9/9 New York, NY. Matisyahu will also be appearing at Farm Aid 2007.

You should also check out Matisyahu website: "The Bridge" A free membership and free downloads of concert footage. And 311's homepage.

The other day I got to view this movie that I missed in the theater because of its limited release.  It is called, "The Host".  It's a South Korean monster flick that just kept me entertained from the beginning to finish.  Korean dubbed into English.  I recommend always watching the movie in its original language with subtitles.  More emotion vs. post production actors giving sub performances.  The Host is about a mutated monster that has spawned in the sewers from biological contamination.  The story revolves around a young family trying to save their daughter that was captured by the monster.  Directed by Bong Joon-ho, this was his third film.  The film premiered at Cannes Film Festival last year.  A sequel has been announced for tentative release in 2008.  It sure is a gem in the vast mix of rentals when looking for a quality movie to watch.

Ami from the reality show Miami Ink fucked up when letting Kat Von D go. He may feel happier about his shop but her new show LA Ink is gonna destroy, Miami Ink in the ratings. Firing Kat didn't teach her a lesson; it just made her more popular and shot her to Rockstar status. I checked out the first episode and it was pretty good. She lost a bunch of weight since we've seen her last in Miami Ink. She looks damn good. Congratulations to the extremely talented tattoo artist, Kat Von D and her new show, LA Ink on TLC. We'll be watching.

So, last minute I attended a RATT / Poison concert here in San Diego last night for free. I didn't take my camera so I don't have any video but while I was there all I could think about was how it would feel to be a rock star. I guess the closest I can get to being C.C. DeVille is on Guitar Hero. I am actually gearing up for the new game- Rock Band. The difference between Rock Band and Guitar Hero is that not only do you have to play lead guitar, you'll need someone to play bass, drums, and lead vocal. I attached the Rock Band demo video. Game drops this winter.

Rock Band - MSRP $200

Leather pants - $150

80's big rock wig $30

My neighbors laughing/watching me through a window at 3am $Priceless

The McFarlane Lost Series 2 Action Figures are now in stock. Just came in last week. There is Jin, Mr. Eko, Sun, and the long awaited Sawyer action figure. Nice addtions to the first series released last year.

Chris Angel's Mind Freak has always been one of our favorites. We are excited to hear about his upcoming Chris Angel Circ de Soleil show coming soon. We were disappointed to find a video that shows him demonstrating how he levitates. I guess he doesn't have demon powers.

You probably have heard about this. Jake Brown cheated death in the X Games this weekend. He landed his first trick, a 720 over the transition but then could not control his board by the time he got to the massive quarter pipe and he just got launched 45 feet in the air and just crashes to the bottom. Gotta give it up to these guys for going all out. Times have certainly changed since the 80's. They are going to be strapping rockets to the boards before long.

by: ImagineGate

Ok, so they just came in this week. I ordered them way back in Feb, and I don't think we'll have enough stock to make it till Xmas.  So don't hesitate.  I am a HUGE fan of this movie and after watching it, it changed my life and the way I look at the corporate world.  I left my job and started my own company because of this movie, hmm.... I guess I can't forget about getting laid off, and the whole dot.com bubble burst, but yeah, this movie was my inspiration. Fuck da man and long live Milton!

It was a hot sunny day in Downtown/Gaslamp San Diego. We pre-paid registered online for our admission to the con. Little did we know that  so did everyone else. If you never been to the San Diego Convention  Center before, its like every other convention center, really big! The  line for the prepaid admissions traveled completely around the  convention center to the back, past the shipping docks, and into  Seaport Village!. The line for on site registration was 1/10 the size  of the pre-registration line. Not good. It took us about an hour to get  in the front door. The Con has grown so quickly in the last couple  years unfortunately it has also grown too big for SD Convention Center  facilities and staff. We understand why there are talks about moving  the Con to LA. Did I mention that it was hot, that day? If they decide  to keep it in SD next year, our crew will be out there giving free  bottles of water to everyone waiting. Now that being said. The Con kicked ass! All the usual suspects were  there announcing all their new toys for this and next year. We had a  blast. The highlight for us was seeing the Vader Project. We were happy  that Dov (DKE) brought some pieces to the Con to show everyone all the  ill artwork done for the Star Wars Convention in LA the previous month.
Although we weren't able to set up a booth this year, we had a pretty  darn good time. Here are all the images for the show. The images are  not organized much but we tried to take as many pictures of toys and  people as we could. Just to give those that couldn't make it, a small  snapshot of all the festivities. Enjoy and till next year, hopefully  still in SD.

This is a super old post from our myspace page but we wanted to link it again since the website blog is up and working. We stopped by the Vinyl Toy Network Show in Pasadena, CA. It was a great turnout for the fans. The lines was over 300 people long before the 10am opening. This was a great event that will help to spread the word about new designers and the designer vinyl toy scene.

Chips, dip, chains and whips! Yes, Kozik has done it again.
Where speed metal, black leather, satan, and Kozik collide.

Kozik Ningyo Project Necromorth the Christraper is limited to 500 pieces.

This Grey Ningyo Project version was a limited run of only 200.

Dalek delivers a design driven by the form rather than a straightforward transfer of his style and characters. The clearest nod to his style are the Space Monkey-ish eyes covering the vest.

Runaway Brain was an experimental film created by Disney in the MID 1990's.  It was a sign of the power that computer technology would have on animation.

Disney and Span of Sunset released this vinyl figure a few weeks ago.

We were lucky enough to get our hands on a few of these.

We should also have the silver edition in a few weeks.

Come on… a psychotic Mickey that comes inside a giant 12 x 16 cereal box.   They are too cool for school.

We traveled to the great metropolis of Tokyo, Japan this year. This was our second trip so we weren't completely, "Lost in Translation". Took the train and made it to Kiddyland in Harajuku. KiddyLand, used to be called Tokyo's Capitol of Cute in Harajuku. It is one of Tokyo's most fun, famous and popular toy stores sightseeing spots in Tokyo. KiddyLand consists of six floors filled with all kinds of huge selection toys from electronic games, character goods to stuffed animals. The sixth floor had a nice selection of designer vinyl. Overall, KiddyLand is nirvana of toys, the must visited spot for the young and the young at heart.
